It Rained

I have just a couple of more pictures to share from yesterday.

I'm sure you heard about the rains in the midwest.  It really hit our small town of Lisle.

Schools are closed today.  There are quite a few street closures in the area.  Many homes and businesses have flooding issues.  I hope and pray that it doesn't rain anymore today (there is a chance of rain) and hopefully we see some sunshine to start drying some of this up.  It's hard to believe all of the damage the rains have caused in our area.

They finally put up cones on our street
and moved them as the water receded

You probably can't see it in this picture unless you are able to zoom in
There is another car stuck in the water way down there

Remember those park pictures?  Well, this isn't the park, but, one of the paths that lead to the park.  (and it's completely under water)  Again, if you can zoom in, between the two evergreens there is a junior high kid on a raft.  In fact, at the park there were quite a few junior high kids with boogie boards and rafts jumping in the water.  Not a safe thing to do since these are retention ponds and end up emptying into another pond.  It was an interesting sight to see, though.

By the way, when I let the dogs out this morning, it was.....snowing.  Really tiny (barely visible)  flakes, almost like ice.

Here's to hoping to see the sun shine through today.
