My next job

The morning started with Bella's soccer game.  This is the 2nd game, and the 2nd time she didn't want to play. (it takes her a little time to warm up)  After ALOT of crying (who knew that girls cry so much!  I didn't cry that much!)  I walk out onto the field with her so she can have her equipment checked by the ref.  With a little more coaxing, she was going to play goalie.  So, there I am, holding her hand and  helping her play goalie.  I really think I need some shin guards and cleats if I'm going to keep this up.

RT and I decided to clean out the garage.  After getting most of the stuff out in the driveway, he decides that we need to go to Home Depot now and get some shelves.  After lugging most of the stuff back into the garage, we head on over to Home Depot (or, the Orange Store as Nicholas used to call it).  I got lost in the house plant area and found several plants to buy.  I was then asked (by RT) where I was going to put them.  Which led to being told that we aren't starting another project right now and to step away from the plants.  We moved on to the shelving units (the real reason we were there).  We ended up liking a couple that were of course marked down.  They were already assembled, we just had to get them home.  After loading the first one into the van (with much difficulty), I told RT that I would stay there, he can go home, unload and come back to get me.  His response was he would unload, eat dinner, relax and then maybe come back.

I then became a greeter at the Home Depot.  I greeted customers as they left the store.

"Hello, thank you for shopping at Home Depot and welcome to the great outside.  Lots of beautiful weather, a splash of sunshine and a slight breeze."

One guy offered to drive me (and my shelves) home.  Others just smiled and walked by.

Now, if I had a can or container, I thought I could ditch my shoes and purse and panhandle at the door and make some money.  Who knows!  That could be my calling in life.  A panhandler at the Home Depot.  And to think, I missed my chance.

I'm sure there will be others.
