Purse

I have some exciting news.   I found two more purses!

If you are new, just search purse on my blog and you will find millions  many posts on my purse problems.

You would think that with all of the new purses that I have found I should have a closet full of purses.  Unfortunately, I had to say good bye to a very well-loved purse over the weekend.  It was one of my favorite purses, maybe we can all have a moment of silence to honor my purse?

My search for the perfect purse is an everyday occurrence.  I always check out the purses in a store.  I never know what I might find.  And, well, if I do find one, I can't just purchase it.  I have to go home and obsess  think about it for days  weeks  months  awhile.  Sometimes I go back to the store and visit the purse.  You know,  date the purse before marrying making a purchase.

Keep the prayers coming.  I'm always on the lookout for a new purse and can use all the positive vibes.

Purse

As I was trying to wrangle the dogs into their jail cell  the side yard, I snagged my purse on one of fence wires.  My beloved purse is starting to show signs of wear.  I think it might be time to start the search for a new purse.

If you need a little background about my relationship with purses, click here, here, here, here.

I have a feeling this search is going to take awhile.  Your prayers are much needed and appreciated during this difficult and emotional time.

Purse Purge

Let's play a game.  What's in my purse?

I carry a small purse.  I prefer to carry as little as possible with me.  Unfortunately, I'm usually asked to carry things for other people.  Those things get stuffed into my small purse.  I forget to empty it and my purse becomes an overstuffed sausage and weighs a good 50 pounds.  It will stay that way for awhile (sometimes weeks) until I finally decide to dump everything so I can figure out what is causing it to weigh so much.

Today was that day.

Here is what I found:

My glasses (in their case, of course)
4 pens
2 packages of Kleenex
a half dozen receipts
bunch of (clean) napkins
4 lipsticks
1 lip balm
a container of mints
gift card
perfume
wallet
fruit snacks
2 layered fruit bars
a sandwich bag of gold fish crackers

OK.  Some of this stuff is normal:  My glasses, wallet, gift card, mints and one lip balm.  The perfume is a frivolous extra but it is definitely a blessing to have on hand when needed.

The snacks were supposed to be given to Bella after one of her basketball game (I'm not sure which game, I've been to several so, these might have been here awhile).

Do I really need two packages of Kleenex?  Am I expecting to sneeze  a million times  that much while I'm out?

And, why can't we just go with an e-receipt?  Why does every store have to hand me more paper that I have to carry around with me for the rest of my life?

One pen should be more than enough unless I'm planning on writing the next great American novel.  The same goes for lipstick.

And, the napkins?  Well, I think I have been hanging around RT a little too much.

Now that it is clean, how long will it stay that way?

What do you carry with you when you go out?

National Handbag Day

I found another weird  interesting holiday to celebrate.  Today is National Handbag Day.  It's a day to celebrate all of the different types of handbags.

Handbags come in many shapes and sizes.  They can be as small as an envelope or as large as a carry on suitcase.  Handbags come in every solid color and a variety of prints like leopard, zebra and even stripes.  You can get a sparkly bag or one with rhinestones.  There is a handbag out there for everyone.

Whatever you call it... purse?  pocketbook?  Clutch?  Evening bag?  Case?  Pouch?  Handbags have been used for thousands of years.  The earliest bags were used to carry tools or gear.  Sometimes the user decorated them with beads or even dyed the material.

How to celebrate National Handbag Day?  Wear your favorite handbag today.  Or, use this day to buy a new handbag.

Why am I celebrating this holiday?  Because I need to celebrate all of the time and effort and mental stress  that I put into finding myself a new purse.  (click HERE, HERE and HERE for a little back story on my purse issues)

I have such a hard time committing to a purse.  I'm not one to just jump in and buy a purse the minute I see it.  I have to stress about it  think about it both in and outside of the store.  I might have to go back to the store a couple of times to look at it.  I will meditate  obsess over it for weeks and then, maybe I will actually purchase the purse.  It's a very stressful time for me.

I do have a few purses in my current collection (and by a few, I mean two or three).  I will be celebrating them and, maybe, I will venture out and peruse some new purses.

Purse

I know that everyone was worried sick about my purse situation.  You can relax now.  I found a new purse.  I have been using it daily for the last month and I still like it!

I am starting my next purse search now.  I know I just purchased this one, but, I figure it's going to be a long process to find the next one.

Prayers are welcome.

Purse

It's that  fun  time again.

Purse shopping!

Most people love purse shopping.  Most people probably have multiple purses and can happily and easily select a new purse to purchase in a matter of minutes.  Maybe they can do this in only one shopping trip, too.

I'm not one of those people.

I am very  picky  selective when purse shopping.  I believe I have purse commitment issues when it comes to buying a new purse.

I had to throw away two purses.  That might not seem like a lot, but, when you only have a few purses in your collection, it doesn't leave you with many choices (except a couple that are summer purses).

Bella told me to just go and buy one.  She doesn't realize that I have to be totally committed to the purse before the purchase.  You know, go out and have coffee, first.  Then, maybe a lunch here, a dinner there.  You know...go on dates with my potential future purse.  I can't just jump in full force and buy one.  That's a little too crazy for me.

I have been woo-ing a potential purse.  I think I'm at the next stage of our relationship.  I'm a little nervous, so, thoughts and prayers are welcome.
