I know how annoying it is to hear that over and over again. I always think, who would do that to their dog? Leave them in the car on a 90F day? With the windows up? You would think that people have some common sense. I mean, would you want to be locked in a car, parked in the sun, with the windows rolled up, unable to get out on a 90F day?
Then you read stories about people who find a car with dogs inside and they wait for the owner or they end up calling the police to get the dog out of the car.
Who are these people and why are they allowed to have a dog?
The other day, I was getting into my car. I was doing some shopping and threw stuff in the trunk. Climbed into the car and looked over to the car next to me. The woman was fumbling around for her keys in her purse. I didn't think anything about it. Then, I looked in her car and saw two dogs and the windows were all rolled up. It was 84F outside and who knows how long that woman was in the store! I offered to help her find her keys and mentioned it was too hot for dogs to be in the car. It was very difficult to be nice when I was ready to strangle her and take her dogs. She did find her keys and I restrained myself from taking her dogs away from her before she left.
It's going to be a hot one here for the next few days, and in many other places in the US. Keep your dogs at home and keep an eye out for idiots who lock their dogs in the car during this heat.

My Car Smells like $hi#
So, I was going to write this post a long time ago, but, never got around to it. Then, by some odd miracle, my friend, Patti, sent me this aromatherapy car charger for my car. I told her she must be psychic, knowing about the post I had been planning.
I decided that I have to write the post. I've had too many smelly bad experiences that I'm sure everyone would love to read. You see, I share my car with Alex. I never know what the inside of my car will smell like when I get in. It's always a surprise. And, no, not a pleasant surprise. I think I figured out why it smells so bad. Alex works at a fast food restaurant and his uniform smells like fried foods. Sometimes his room smells like that, too, but, that's another story for another time.
You probably think, oh, it smells like french fries, Yum! Let me tell you, that smell turns into bad smelly feet. So, his clothes and the car smell like bad, smelly feet. If the windows are closed, and they usually are, the smell seems to increase and when the door is opened, well, just try not to pass out.
I climbed in my car the other day to go to work. Alex had just used the car and the windows were closed. I opened the door and I almost passed out. I rolled all the windows down and realized my aromatherapy charger needed a little more oil on it. And, that's when I thought of my friend, Patti.
I have put more oil on the insert and my car is smelling like oranges. Yea, not sure why I picked orange essential oil. I do know that the smell of oranges is A LOT better than smelly feet.
Thanks again, Patti! I'm sure I will be thinking of you again...and again....

Shower Squeegee
I didn't think it would come to this, but, I have to do it. And, no, I'm not getting paid.
I'm sure you have heard of a shower squeegee. I've wanted to try using one for years, but, never got around to it I've heard people rave about this product. How quick and easy it is to do and keeps your shower clean. When I mentioned this to "someone" he said something along the lines of "that's too much work."
Well, a squeegee was given to me and I thought I would try it out. Why not, right?
If you aren't familiar, they are quite easy to use.
After showering, scrape (or squeegee) the walls. Almost like you are cleaning them. The majority of the water comes off, they dry a little faster and you remove soap scum, etc.
We have glass shower doors that I squeegee, too. It takes maybe 30 seconds. I do this while standing in the shower. I have noticed by doing this, when it comes time to clean the shower, it goes a lot faster since I don't have topower blast scrub the walls.
"Someone" still complains about the squeegee but, I continue to use it because it saves me time in the long run.

Missing in Action
Sorry I have been a little MIA lately. It's been a little crazy around here. I'm trying to fit my blog writing in and just realized I need a new notebook. Don't worry, I have a huge stash of notebooks waiting to be used. I should be getting back into my regular posting schedule soon! Thanks for being patient!

My Weird Dog
I decided to clean the carpet by my side of the bed. With Pippen sleeping on it, it gets full of dog hair so it needs to be de-hairified (I'm sure that's a word) every once in awhile.
Well, I forgot to bring the carpet upstairs when I was done de-hairifying (another real word) it. I was already in bed, about to fall asleep when in walks Pippen. He came over to my side of the bed, obviously a little confused because there is no carpet. I told him to go sleep on the other side. I could tell he didn't want to, so, I repeated it. He walked over there to check it out, came back for a reassuring pet, then decided it would be OK to stay over there.
I woke up in the middle of the night and Pippen came over to my side (checking to see ifhis the carpet magically returned. I had to tell him to go back to RT's side. Poor guy.
Tonight should be better.Pippen's bed The carpet is back on my side. He should sleep a lot better now.

Parties
Thought I would give a little update to let you know that we survived the party. It was definitely a hot one (temperature wise). With all the outdoor set up, I think the majority of the people hung out indoors. We pulled it off without killing each other and, there was even talks of having another party sometime in the near future. Stay tuned....

Parties
Isn't funny when you have a party or people over, you go to great extents to fix and clean up your house? The house looks so nice that you don't even want to have anyone over because then it will get messy/dirty.
Company also creates a "little" tension in the house. Well, it does in our house. The stress, everyone is cranky, trying to get things just right. And, there is usually a HUGE blow up right before the first guests arrive. Which is always pleasant because you want to kill your spouse but you have to be nice and act like you like one another.
We are having a party on Saturday and once again, I'm not sure our marriage is going to survive it. It's been a good run, honey. We gave it our best shot!
Pray for us.
